A ridiculously belated post, but I turned seventeen last Tuesday (hoorah)! I'm extremely grateful to have spent my birthday with my family and friends (whom I love a bit too much), and I felt a little spoilt with the abundance of cake, calories, and the perks of receiving gifs (ranging from King books to a pair of mind-boggling Wangs *_*). As ghastly as the picture of me alongside a slice of cake (a lá Awfully Chocolate), I decided to include it in this montage because I'm progressively adding more personal photos to elude the impression that I don't smile in them. As part of my celebratory jaunt, I put together a little fête at my humble abode, covering it with candles and lights in an attempt to add some "cuteness" to the ambience, but sadly I forgot to capture the set up prior to the masses arriving, and by the end of the night my camera was filled with obligatory selfies and candids of friends.

I hope you'll like this little glimpse of my seventeenth birthday! Sorry for the lack of posts - you know I adore you, really.

Dress - Camden Town in London // Body chain - Karmaloop // Trench coat - Craig (mom's) //

A relatively short post today, but nonetheless, a photo diary of my weekend. More specifically Winter Ball, which is an annual excuse for adolescents in my school to dress up and indulge in a dessert buffet. If my photos aren't of any indication, I am indeed, ridiculously vertically-challenged, which also called for some DIY alterations on my dress as to avoid looking shorter than I already am. #shortproblems.

Expect more updates this week as I have exciting plans (it's my birthday tomorrow) and hopefully I'll be able to take them on my real camera!

Peace,
Beatrice

Dress - Lovers + Friends // Leather jacket - Enigma // Body chain - Karmaloop //

Last year, I had the absolute pleasure of attending Hong Kong Fashion Week for the first time. I did some backstage work for two days as well as watching the show! However, due to the bane of my existence, which is known by the common tongue as school, I had to miss out on the rather enjoyable chaos of backstage life. Instead, I was merely a member of the audience on the opening night. This years fashion week hosted designers S/S collection such as Holly Fulton (London), Chi Zhang (Beijing), Aganovich (Paris), and Johanna Ho (Hong Kong). I must admit that I was persuaded by Holly Fultons psychedelic prints and her collection was probably my favorite this year. I was delighted to see Johanna Ho exhibited this year though, she gave a lecture at my school two years ago and I was fortunate enough to have lunch with her so since then my heart's always had a soft spot for her. In terms of OOTD, I was in a rush so a proper outfit photo was impossible, but thanks to the convenience of having an iPhone (!) I can now take quick and grainy photos!
