Hey guys! So I'm having my prom this weekend, and I'm pretty excited to get dolled up and all that :) Here's some pictures that inspired the dress I got, and prom-spiration for makeup, hair and just things related to that!

and yes... I can't wait to bust some Palvin-esque moves and dip my face into a chocolate fountain (demonstrated by the parrot).

Here's a couple of photos from the Hong Kong Art Fair '12 last weekend! There were so many captivating pieces, and some that made you think. The creativity that artists have is truly inspiring and genius. There were quite a few pieces that played on perspective and 3D art, but there was a series of artworks that were just creepy - a life-sized (and realistic!) model of a nude grandma sleeping... and breathing! There were also animal versions, but it creeped me out a little too much so I didn't stare at them for too long. 

I've been fairly sick for the past few days, so hopefully I'll get better soon because prom is this Saturday! I'm really excited, and I'll post pictures and all that jazz when I can :)

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

This outfit has a boho-rock 'n' roll feel, I feel like I should be wearing this to Coachella or some other weekend hippie music festival. Trying to abide by the spring trend of neon colors, I wore a neon pink tank top that peeked through the crochet details, and don't be alarmed! I'm wearing booty shorts underneath too. After mentioning that, this look is more appropriate for a summer day out with friends, or a festival trip, not so much for a family dinner or something. However, I chose to wear oxfords instead of a pair of heels or wedges to tone down the cheekiness of the look, but I'm really loving the turband + ear cuff combination! It keeps my mane out of my face, and shows off my ear cuff in all the right ways. This outfit has "summer lovin'" stamped right across it so I'll be sure to wear it again, which makes me anticipate the summer even more!

What are your plans for the summer? I'm counting down the days till I'll be free to roam around in the sun :)

Cannes 2012

Head to toe in Balmain - gotta love it.

Here are a couple of my favorite looks so far from the Cannes Film Festival 2012, there's still a few more days left of the festival, which means more movies (and outfits) will be premiering! Can I just say that Diane Kruger KILLED IT with her looks, I love every single outfit she wore. And I didn't know Brad Pitt grew out his hair... he reminds me of a lion BUT he still looked dapper in his laid-back suit. Speaking of dapper, so did Douglas Booth and Chuck Bass - oops I mean Ed Westwick! I'm so excited to watch the new adaptation of Romeo & Juliet that they're acting in, I loved the Baz Luhrmann version and Shakespears play. As you can probably tell, I'm a fan of white/cream/embellished outfits on the red carpet, but I do love Marion Cotillards midnight gown; she is such a beauty. Wes Andersons movie, Moonrise Kingdom, also premiered alongside Romeo & Juliet at Cannes, which is another movie I can't wait to watch! 

As he was mentioned previously, Baz Luhrmanns adaptation of The Great Gatsby will be released in December, and the first trailer came out yesterday! I recently read the book and loved it, so I'm even more excited that it's directed by Baz Luhrmann! Who I think is a genius with cinematography. Oh, and Leonardo DiCaprio is acting in it so... of course it will be a great movie! Check out the trailer below:
