Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts this week, but with Lookbook being inaccessible to me and other Hong Kong-ers, I've been reluctant to upload any looks and I didn't want to leave the blog bare without them. But I've decided to just bite the bullet and post one anyhow because it's been too long, and when Lookbook gets running again I'll put a hype button to add some pizzazz to the posts (now added).

I played around with editing on Photoshop for this look, so let me know if you like the effect/tint! This pair of leopard print shorts are second-hand from a retro store my friend and I found, and it's probably one of the best stores we've discovered! It's a vintage treasure chest, from band tees to lace dresses - I've visited it a couple more times these past few weeks.

Hairband - Pull and Bear
Studded button-down - friends gift from Australia so I'm not sure about the brand
Leopard print shorts - second hand from Retrostone
T-strap platforms - Jeffrey Campbell

&& welcome to my new followers! Thanks for stopping by and following, it always makes my day :)
Have a great day everyone! Don't forget to HYPE!

Radio - Lana Del Rey from Michel Ghanem on Vimeo.

These are just a few of the songs I've been listening to lately. Falling head over heels for The Naked and Famous - truly music to my ears. The Hanna soundtrack by The Chemical Brothers is also a masterpiece. If you've ever watched the movie, the soundtrack is the one ingredient that adds the emotion, suspense and everything in between. It's an instrumental soundtrack with one or two vocal songs, but it's still genius. Anyways, hope you enjoy this collage of tunes, just a taster of what I like to listen to and possibly what you like too! Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I was planning to upload a look, but Lookbook hasn't been working for me lately so it's been impossible to upload anything. Don't lose faith in me! Hopefully it'll start working again by the weekend, but till then I'll update the blog with something else soon. Have a great weekend everyone, love you lots!

Style Stalking - Jess from New Girl

Lately I've been hooked on this TV series called New Girl. It stars the glamorous Zooey Deschanel who plays Jess, the quirky protagonist, living with her three male flat mates. It's a hilarious show that leaves me laughing like a maniac (or a goat), so I highly recommend it! But one thing I love, is Jess' wardrobe. Kudos to the stylists of the show.

So taking a cue from Jess, I've made up a mood board of HOW TO DRESS LIKE JESS. Not really, more like a collage of staple pieces if you want to look like the woman of the hour. Quirky prints, sweaters, a-line skirts, and 50's dresses all make their appearance on the show, but don't forget her tortoise-shell frames and va-va-voom lashes!

Inspired by these two lovely metallic/leather pleated skirts, I decided to make my own! A while back I went fabric shopping with my mom, and she spotted out this really cool metallic/liquid leather looking material, which I used to create the skirt. Thus I now have a metallic/leather-looking pleated skirt, that I can incorporate into my looks!

Cut-out coral shirt - Nasty Gal
Skirt - DIY
Creepers - Style Nanda
Studded bracelet - Forever 21

The hardest part about making the skirt was getting the pleats down! They're still a little reluctant to stay put so it'll take a bit more ironing to get it right.

Hype it if you like it!

Q & A

Hey everyone! I was recently interviewed by the lovely Margaret of the blog, Silhouette. It's my first interview/feature, so I'm pretty excited! You can read the full interview here. And be sure to check out Margaret's personal looks, because her style is so clean and sophisticated, it's hard to resist loving it.

&& Here's a song to keep your ears company whilst you read the interview :) I personally cannot stop myself from pressing repeat.

Have a great day! |^.^| v

I forgot to mention in my last post that I was gonna be away for a bit, but that doesn't matter anymore because I'm back now; the RB of BRB. For the past few days I was hidden away in the highlands of Manila, Tagaytay with my parents, locked in solitude to relax and be away from the city (with no internet either). So the past few days have just been consisting of eating to my hearts content and heading to the spa. There was a pop-up bazaar too, where I found some cute steals that might make an appearance on the blog soon. But I'm back now so I'll talk to you guys soon!

Dress - Nastygal
Lace vest - Japan
Collar - DIY
Rings- H&M

As promised, another outfit post! It's feminine just like the one before, I'm not sure why but I gravitate towards more feminine pieces in the spring. I added my DIY collar to the dress, which actually adds more to the look, and makes my dress seem like it has a cut-out neckline. Accessories are on the light side, with just my stacked rings and thin bracelets. Anyways I'm in the middle of doing some more DIY, but I'll have to see the outcome before I post it up on here. Have a good week everyone!
